So you want to scrapbook?

Have you been thinking about scrapbooking?
Do you like the look of 'other' people's albums?
Do you think you can't scrapbook for whatever reason?

You can scrapbook and you should scrapbook! Why?

Scrapbooking is a great way to preserve memories and heritage.
Scrapbooking is a creative outlet (even if you think you are not creative).
Scrapbooking is a break from the everyday and allows you to enjoy the moments caught on film (digital image).

Or do you like the idea/look of scrapbook but think you can't because you don't have kids or because you are male?

You don't need a husband, kids, pets or to be female to scrapbook. Anyone can scrapbook.
You can scrapbook about yourself, what you like, don't like. Think of it as a creative diary.
You can scrapbook pets.
You can scrapbook home or outdoor projects.
You can scrapbook your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews or no kids at all.
You may have a job that you can scrapbook (you can make scrapbooking for others your job!)

Do you think you are not creative enough to scrapbook?

Scrapbooking is a creative outlet for pretty much anyone, but you don't need to be creative to scrapbook. Don't think you can't scrapbook because you are not 'artsy' or creative enough. If you think you don't have a creative bone in your body then it is recommended that you purchase an idea book or two or go online and look at layouts posted in different scrapbooking galleries.

So what you need to get started.
Basic Supplies:
Album
Adhesive
Pen
Scissors and or Trimmer
Paper

Additional Supplies:
Embellishments
Stickers
Chalk
Paint/Ink
Stamps
Etc

It is recommended to have the basic supplies - the additional supplies are nice to have and you may wish to purchase them later. If you plan on using idea books and want to scraplift (copy) a layout with the same supplies then you will need to purchase additional supplies. If you like certain styles of scrapbook layouts look at what they used and purchase products like that.

Where to purchase supplies. Supplies are available at various retail stores and are available online. Of course we carry supplies also at our website - www.scrapbookingoasis.com
