These brushes are similar to the "more expensive" brands you can purchase. So far I have not had a chance to test them out with my water colour crayons but I did use them in a water colour book with my dd. They brush smoothly and work the same way as the others. I used the largest of the brushes and it was still able to “paint” well in the smaller areas (although a smaller brush would have given better control). Give the pen a little squeeze for some water to come out and brush away. To clean just squeeze more water out and brush on scrap paper until clear. These are filled with regular tap water. These brushes are great for kids to use when painting in the water colour books or even with the little paint trays. These brushes can be used with water colour crayons, water colour paints and even mulberry paper for your tear bears! No more spills, no carrying water, each brush has its own lid to prevent leaking. What an affordable package of three for only $6.19 CAD. A great buy for a great tool to have in your scrapbooking or stamping collection. A must have for any artist!
